Marla has over 25 years of combined experience in banking, finance, oil and gas, and education and is focused on organizational excellence and structural change and transformation. She has extensive experience in leadership development, strategic communications, financial management, enterprise risk management, investor and stakeholder relations, and enhancing corporate governance. Previously, Marla was Vice President, Corporate Development at Laricina Energy Ltd. from February 2006 to April 2017 building the organization from its pioneering roots.
Marla sits on the Board of Directors for McMan Youth, Family and Community Services Association, and was previously Director of Officiating for the Alberta Basketball Officials Association. Marla volunteers with the Rainbow Society of Alberta who grants wishes to children with life-threatening conditions or severe chronic medical illnesses and with the Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta on financial literacy.
