Recognizing a need
Calgary Academy — Alberta, Canada
Founded in a single classroom in 1981, Calgary Academy began as a private institute offering specialized education to students with a diagnosed Learning Disability with an average or above average IQ. Today, CA has its own facility, the capacity to serve 600 students, and the ability to offer personalized learning and relational teaching. The Academy has a unique approach to educating students, backed by decades of experience and a constant pursuit of identifying new education methods. The result is a program that truly remediates skill gaps. Understanding each student’s cognitive profile enables our team to develop an Individualized Program Plan that dictates what needs to be done to move a student from their current achievement to grade level achievement. Believing that we’re preparing students for life, not just for post-secondary education, whole-person development is extremely important to Calgary Academy.
